Luxury Boutique Hotel in Sydney

We recently had another fantastic family stay at the Vulcan Hotel, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. This hotel is perfectly situated in the bustling Sydney Central Business District, making it an excellent choice for families looking to explore the city.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff who went out of their way to assist us with any requests we had, making us feel right at home. The hotel's location is another major plus—it's just a short walk from Central Station, making it easy to navigate the city’s public transport. We were also conveniently close to vibrant hotspots such as Chinatown and Darling Harbour. One of our favourite features was the nearby park, which provided a lovely space for our children to play and unwind after a day of sightseeing.

We stayed in a Twin room, which was just perfect for our family of four. The room was spacious and comfortable, giving us plenty of room to relax after our daily adventures.

A delightful highlight of our stay was the continental breakfast offered each morning. It was just what we needed to kickstart our day, with a variety of options that catered to everyone’s taste. This daily ritual was a wonderful way for us to gather as a family before heading out to explore all that Sydney has to offer.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Vulcan Hotel and are already looking forward to our next visit!

I stayed at the Vulcan Hotel in June 2025 while in Sydney for business, and it was a great experience all round.

The location was spot on — close to everything I needed, including good transport options and easy access to the CBD. The room was clean, modern, and well-appointed — perfect for a solo traveller needing a comfortable base. Wi-Fi was reliable, along with a great work desk and heaps of powerpoints, made getting work done easy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere after a long day.

The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful — check-in and check-out were seamless. I also liked the character of the hotel; it has a nice mix of modern touches and heritage charm…rather than staying in a bland, lifeless 4 star hotel.

Highly recommend the Vulcan Hotel for business travellers looking for a no-fuss, comfortable, great price and well-run place to stay in Sydney.

The staff here were unbelievably helpful, kind and professional. We called for an emergency room at 3am after coming from an awful Airbnb where we were not safe. The night manager was calm and careful to make sure we felt looked after, giving us late checkout free of charge and had even pre-set the aircon in the room as soon as we called ahead.

The room itself was lovely, clean, quiet and well appointed and we were so relieved to find a last-minute room on cup final weekend for such good value. We would have stayed longer if they weren't fully booked, but the morning staff were brilliant and helped us figure out our next steps finding new accommodation and long-stay parking. Will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Sydney.
